Ashby's Ready Mixed are proud members of Concrete NZ.
Concrete NZ operates a Plant Auditing Scheme to which all Ashby's Ready Mixed plant complies. This scheme aims to provide independent verification that all plants audited under the scheme produce concrete in compliance with the requirements of NZS 3104.
The Classification Scheme is ISO 9001 which means:
- The ISO 9001 certification of the Plant Audit Committee means that the systems and procedures of the Plant Audit Committee have been audited and found to be satisfactory according to an internationally recognised standard.
- It means that the Committee itself has been judged to have effective systems and controls.
- Customers of audited plants can have confidence that their suppliers’ concrete manufacturing processes have been checked by a body with ISO approved systems.
- Concrete supplied from an audited Ready Mixed Concrete plant is to be of consistently high quality and meets all local authority requirements.
Ashby's Ready Mixed Plant Engineers routinely monitor all plants to ensure continuing compliance with all the relevant standards.
Please note that Ashby's Ready Mixed tests all concrete in accordance with NZS 3112, 3109 and 3104. Should for any reason specific testing is required then pricing for this purpose should be sought.
All our mixes are designed in accordance with NZS 3109 and NZS 3104

Sustainability and Environmental
Commitment:
Our view is that sustainability is all about meeting the needs of today, without adversely impacting on the needs of tomorrow.
Our aim is to minimise the use of resources, and energy, every day. We do this through careful dispatching of loads, reusing returned concrete (when possible), having a very efficient fleet and the latest edition, our modern plant with new technology designed to have reduced impacts on the environment though fewer emissions to the atmosphere, and to be more energy efficient. All these factors contribute to producing the best product with the least environmental impact possible.
We continue to be mindful that the work we do could have a negative impact on the environment if we do not operate in an efficient manner. To this end we continue to monitor and carry out regular audits to ensure our site is compliant and are meeting all resource consent conditions.
